Why, yes – that is the Hoffman Challenge fabric! Things are beginning to come together. Nothing looks like my original “vision” – but then it rarely does. LOL!

Wednesday WOW – May 18
You’ve seen glimpses of these before.
I spent most of today needle sculpting faces. I’m starting to work on my Hoffman Challenge piece. At this point, though, I can’t say which one of these will be part of it! Maybe none . . . maybe all!
This is the stage in doll making that the doll starts to take over. I may start out with an idea, but the critters have a mind of their own and I’m never sure where we will go. I LOVE this part!!

Christmas in – er – May?
Let’s see. If I can finish this Christmas piece before winter, will that make up for all the past Christmas projects that didn’t get done in time? Oh. I didn’t think so.
Well, this is what I worked on this week. There are some hand embroidery details, but I have decided to wait until all the blocks are done. I estimate I have about 2/3 of this project done.
Here is the first vertical row stitched together. It’s kind of long, so the photo is distorted at the bottom. Hopefully I’ll be able to get better pictures when it’s finished.
I’m really enjoying this project. It’s full of fun fabrics, and all the favorite symbols of the season. And there is enough variety in the blocks to keep my interest: traditional pieced blocks, paper piecing, and appliqué. What’s not to like?

Wednesday WOW – May 11
I can’t seem to do applique without making a mess! But it sure is fun! I love watching to pieces come together bit by bit. This is what I’ve done this week so far:
And one more to go for this month’s kit.
Gingerbread men!

Wednesday WOW – May 4
Nothing emphasizes the passage of time more than these weekly postings. May already! What?? If anyone sees where I left my April, please let me know!
There isn’t much to see on the worktable today. A little of this and a little of that. I’ve made some postcards for a spring swap. And, of course, there is a looooong list of projects I’ll be starting . . . oh, any day now! Just as soon as I get “organized!”
What’s in your wallet on your worktable?
