Well, it doesn’t look very appealing now, does it? Hopefully it will produce something pretty – eventually!
Over the years I have accumulated a number of how-to books. I read through them when they are new and get excited about trying some of the projects. But I never seem to get around to it. As I received yet another nifty book last week, I decided I need to DO something about that!
So, I have designated Sundays as a day to explore and experiment and work my way through at least some of these books. And that brings me back to that – er – thing – up there. It’s a technique from this book:
If you are thinking it looks like a sock with something tied up in it . . you’re right! I wrinkled wet fabric and twisted it up into a tight knot and now I’m waiting for it to dry.
In the same chapter, this “bubbles” technique is described. I think this is pretty neat, and I spent this afternoon working on adding beaded embellishments. I’m liking what I have so far, but you will have to come back next week to see how it turns out. AND to see how that lumpy sock turns out. LOL!
I’ve got some other techniques already in the pipeline, too. I can’t wait to share them with you. Come back next week for ‘Sperimentin’ Sunday. (I know, pretty sad play on words. I’ll see if I can come up with something better. Any suggestions?)

I've done that wrinkled sock thing. It turns out very well, but takes forever to dry as I'm sure you've noticed. I'll be looking forward to seeing what you turn out.
I've seen that book at our library. I had a peek inside it, but figured I'd never find the time to do any of the projects, so I didn't borrow it. Good for you, making a special time to focus on new things!
